PENANG TRIP
Trip to Penang brought history to reality. It is a beautiful town with old buildings which is very unique in this modern era to be found. Walking down the town such a breath taking experience with culture that still stand. The food from various regions is delicious, especially the Teochew Chendol. The art mural also stand out even some of it faded.
On day 1 I went to the mural street and I found lots of shop with interesting souvenir and mostly are handmade. We took picture around the building. The next day I went to Asia Camera Museum which I founded the old photoshop mechanism and also the old comb that I never seen before. On the same day I also went to the Blue Mansion which has an interesting wall decoration in front of the gate.
These tip was very exciting and also I learned more about Malaysian culture.
Old Photoshop with Old Camera
This is the wooden table that they use back then. The photoshop process uses like a framing wood with transparent glass inside to see the negative photo.
The book of
color has
different color sheet to give color to the photo by cut the paper and dip it to the water.
The example of the photoshop. The darker color will be transparent and also does otherwise for the lighter color.
This is the studio replica back then.
The Lighting used back then spread around the photo area. It can be moved by wheel.
These are the tools used to do the photoshop. For the black and white photo they use a really sharp pencil which carved for an hour.

Model Development
Model 1

First model I want to make layers which looks like the layers of camera lense.
Model 2

Second model focused more on the shadow that created from the layers of broken pieces. I use alphabet ruler and broke them to pieces and find a good piece to be put in layers to create certain shape form the shadow.
Model 3
For the third model as final model, I use colored glass that I bought and crack them to peices and I use layering method, same goes with the second model. The shadow that I created for the first one is human look and the other one just abstract.
There are lights that can be moved from one side to another to create the shadow from every different angle
