Semester 2
Semester 2 project is more interesting because those projects are complimenting each other. The first project, I got concrete material for my window display. I chose concrete because of its mouldable nature and has nice nature colour. For the café project, the site is on Sekeping Serendah. We stayed there for 2 days and we had an interesting experience. The place has breath taking scenery. I’ve chosen the edge of a u-turn as the specific location for my café. The my last project is perspective view of my café.
For my project I was in Mrs. Diana’s group for my 1st and 3rd project, indeed I was moved to Mr. Romzi’s group for half of the 2nd project and the 3rd. In tutorial session they both help me to develop my design. Mrs. Diana is very patient and encourage me to elaborate more on my idea for my design. Whereas, Mr. Romzi more focusing on my technical drawings and help me to solve my design problems.
In this semester I’ve been thought lots of things from designing to developing myself. The process of design needs deeper thinking.
Through semester 2, I learned so much to developing ideas and make it happened. Personally, I developed myself to be more creative and neater from the previous semester. I learned the most valuable lesson to hard working and not giving up.

DESIGN PROCESS
For the design, I use pipe connections covered with concrete. I make the concrete myself with the mix of sand, pebbles, cement, and water

REFLECTION
The first window display I made was a crushed concrete that made W A R letter which means a war between the coffee and avocado, yet it didn’t work out but I want to give another try. I made four window displays, and three of them being approved which use different material: cloth, pipes (plastic), and wood, then I have option to choose so I chose the pipes.
The window display named Stack-O because the pipes stack together and covered with concrete. The first attempt is used a few pipes and later becomes more and more. For the third attempt, I was inspired by the water flow, so I made the window display looks like concrete flow all over the pipes. Later I put the light focusing on the flow itself.
I’m really grateful that I finally can make a nicer window display and to believe in myself that I can do things better.

WHAT A RELIEF!
Between the perspective and section, I chose perspective for the second project.

REFLECTION
For this project, we can choose from section, perspective, to tunnel book. For the first tutorial I gave the sample of the perspective and section because I was interested in both of them. Later Mr. Romzi suggested me to pick the perspective, so I make the perspective.
The perspective view that I chose is facing the stairs, toppings, and some part of the avocado machine. For the first attempt, I use layering method. I made 12 layers of modeling board. After the first submission, I sugested to make the perspective has more depth so I tilted some parts like the wall, floor, and roof. The components, I make some layer to adding more depth.
The first attempt was taking a whole day to make. Otherwise, for the final I did it for 3 days so it turns out neater and also I added pink color as the reflection of the machine and toppings on the model.
I learned to still going on and just do it.

FINAL PRESENTATION
REFLECTION
This project interest me the most because this is the first time I’m designing a café. It’s been a long time to design this café. Several changes from the beginning. My feelings were mixed at one time, I’m excited, scared, happy at the same time. This project took so long and made me frustrated sometimes, yet I’m happy with the result. It’s been a journey of the process from beginning until end. Know, I also knew my limit and I can do this. The hardworking paid off.
I am grateful for the lecture, who help me the most with my project and pushed me to produce this design. I hope that I can develop myself more in the next semester.
